The Ford Ranger is a highly capable, rugged work vehicle available in 4x2 or 4x4 configurations. The Ranger is the first pick-up to be awarded a Euro NCAP five-star safety rating and with new, lower cost-of-ownership figures, it makes economic as well as practical sense.
The new Ford Ranger boasts updated looks and aerodynamics, and its higher waistline gives it a still more imposing appearance. There are four trim levels on offer with different exterior features. The XL model provides practicalities like a black front bumper and heated door mirrors. Upgrade to XLT and you'll add stylish touches like chrome door and tailgate handles and 16” alloy wheels. Limited trim gives your Ranger extra flair with body-coloured front bumpers, and the range-topping Wildtrak, which is exclusively available with a double cab, gives you all the sporty flair you could want.
The reassuringly robust cabin of the Ranger also offers different levels of trim and equipment. The more utilitarian XL keeps things practical with rubber floor mats and cloth trim. XLT and Limited add conveniences aimed at more on road use, such as cruise-control and a leather-trimmed steering wheel with remote audio controls. Opt for the Wildtrak model and the cabin is well-appointed with plush leather upholstery and satellite navigation, helping you arrive in comfort and style.
The Ranger comes with your choice of punchy 2.2-litre and 3.2-litre TDCI engines, producing up to 197bhp and 470Nm. All engine types are available with either a six-speed manual or automatic transmission. CO2 emissions are as low as 192g/km, keeping journeys efficient and road tax low.
The Ranger's payload capacity is no less impressive. Three choices of body style are available to suit your cargo. The two-door regular cab provides seating for two and a huge load-space of 2,317mm long and 1,560mm wide.
If you need to carry more passengers the Super Cab has two reverse-hinged rear doors that allow for occasional seating in the rear and a load box of 1,847 by 1,560mm. The Double Cab has four full size doors and a spacious car-like environment for up to five people, whilst still boasting a load box of 1,549 in length. The Ranger can also tow loads of up to 3,500kg, so whichever body style you chose, you'll always be able to carry what you need.
