NEW LOOKS. NEW FEATURES. NEW CAPABILITIES.
The New Transit Connect comes with a sophisticated new look, comprehensively updated interior and more advanced technology than the previous model. Ford's New Transit Connect has stepped up!
The new face of business
All of the Transit family are renowned for toughness, durability and functionality and the New Connect is no exception!
The new model has an ingenious load-through bulkhead and flexible front passenger seating. But this is now more than just a van – it is a sophisticated 1-tonne van equipped with valuable drive-assist technologies. Others help keep drivers connected, hands-free; to help them control and monitor their speed, and even to help protect pedestrians in their path.
Ford SYNC 3 is an advanced system that enables you to stay connected and control your phone, music and navigation system. You can choose either voice commands or use the 6” colour touchscreen with pinch-and-swipe gestures for intuitive navigation.
The Load-through Bulkhead is on all van versions with a dual front passenger seat, an ingenious design lets you carry items up to 3m long in a short wheelbase van (L1) and up to 3.4m in a long wheel-base model (L2). The bulkhead has a flip-up hatch at the bottom, which you can slide long items through and into a storage area beneath the front passenger seats. Behind the bulkhead, there’s room for two Euro-pallets (in L1) or up to four 8’ x 4’ sheets of material (in L2).
The New Ford Transit Connect is available with FordPass Connect modem††, a system designed to make every journey more enjoyable plus enhancing productivity and convenience for businesses. It enables a range of features, including Wi-Fi‡‡ for up to 10 devices, so passengers can load their favourite streaming service and make those long journeys fly by. Plus real-time traffic updates delivered straight to your in-car satnav.
FordPass Connect becomes even more powerful when it’s paired with your smartphone via the FordPass 2.0 app. Once connected, you can take advantage of a host of innovative new features, including Vehicle Health Alerts (advising when service action may be needed, such as low oil life, failed bulbs, or other vehicle alerts), Vehicle Status (for checking fuel levels, alarm status, tyre pressures and more), locating your vehicle when you can’t remember where you parked, and locking and unlocking it remotely.
The FordPass app is flexible, so that businesses with more than one vehicle can conveniently interact with their connected vehicles using a single FordPass account, or via multiple accounts.
The New Transit Connect now comes with Intelligent Speed Assist, designed to enhance your speed control and enabling you to concentrate on the road. First, the Traffic Sign Recognition camera automatically detects the current speed limit (when activated), then the system adjusts your maximum speed setting to that limit.

Technologies such as anti-tamper door locks and a Thatcham Category 1 Alarm help to keep your valuables as safe as possible.
Pre-Collision Assist with Pedestrian Detection recognises vehicles in the road ahead and can even recognise pedestrians that may be about to cross the vehicle’s path. The system warns you if it detects a potential collision and if you don’t respond it will automatically apply the brakes. Emergency Brake Assist is designed to help reduce the severity of accidents or help avoid them altogether, and functions at speeds of up to 50mph (80kmh).
An advanced Traction Control System constantly monitors and adjusts the power delivered to the vehicle’s individual wheels to eliminate excessive wheelspin and give you maximum contact and grip.
Trailer Sway Control detects ‘snaking’ or trailer sway and gently reduces your vehicle’s speed to help solve the problem.
Electronic Stability Control constantly monitors your vehicle’s progress. It senses when it’s losing grip and automatically applies a braking pulse to individual wheels, helping to stabilise it. Using advanced sensors from the anti-lock braking and Traction Control System it monitors the behaviour of the vehicle. It also includes Side Wind Stabilisation – a system that applies the brakes on one side of the vehicle to reduce the effect of a sudden side wind gust on the vehicle’s path.
