Ford has added a new ECOnetic model to the Fiesta line-up, and the vehicle is the most fuel-efficient Fiesta ever produced by the brand. The car has been fitted with a new 95PS 1.5-litre engine, which helps it to return as much as 88.3mpg.
A variety of intelligent Ford features and technology has also been fitted to reach this remarkable figure. A start/stop system switches the engine off when the car is sitting idle, and starts it again instantly when you pull away. There’s also smart regenerative charging and low rolling resistance tyres, plus advanced aerodynamics and optimised gearing.
The frugal Fiesta is clean too, as further advancements have reduced the amount of CO2 it releases. An optimised combustion chamber design, enhanced fuel injection technology and turbo charging see emissions drop to 82g/km, meaning the car qualifies for road tax exemption.
The Fiesta was Britain’s best-selling car in 2014 and is also the biggest-selling vehicle of all time in the UK. With variations such as the ECOnetic being added to the model family, it is clear to see why, and this new arrival will no doubt appeal to both private and business buyers alike.
The Fiesta ECOnetic goes on sale towards the end of 2015 and here at Allen Ford we expect a great deal of interest when it launches. Enquire with your nearest dealership to book a test drive when it arrives.
